The 2022 season has created many challenges across our region with vast amount of rain and floods. The Ag industries have really pulled together to provide a huge amount of information and resources to help farmers navigate harvest and access support as needed.

Flood Support – Vic

A range of support measures are available for flood-affected primary producers. Information about these
measures can be found at agriculture.vic.gov.au/floods


Flood Recovery Hotline Victorians affected by the floods can call 1800 560 760 for help with navigating
support, clean-up, finding somewhere to stay, mental health and wellbeing support. The recovery hotline is
open from 7.30 am – 7.30 pm every day. Press 9 for an interpreter. For more information visit

$75,000 Flood Recovery Grant
Eligible directly affected primary producers may apply for up to $75,000 to help with the costs of clean-up
and recovery. The grant has a two-tiered payment structure:
• Tier 1: An up-front amount of up to $25,000 is available to applicants with evidence of direct
damage and an outline of expected recovery costs.
• Tier 2: An additional amount of up to $50,000 can be accessed with evidence of payment for
recovery costs (tax invoices and official receipts).
Note: This grant replaces the $10,000 Primary Producer Clean-Up and Relief Grant. Producers who have
received the $10,000 grant will need to complete a new application form for the $75,000 Flood Recovery
Grant to receive additional funding, however they will not need to supply evidence of impact again.

$15,000 Flood Recovery Transport Support
Eligible directly affected primary producers may apply for up to $15,000 to support 50 per cent of costs for
the transport of emergency fodder or stock drinking water, and the movement of livestock for agistment,
sale, or slaughter. To apply, visit ruralfinance.com.au or call 1800 260 425.


Flood Recovery Concessional Loan
Eligible directly affected primary producers may apply for concessional loans of up to $250,000 to restore
or replace damaged assets, and meet general expenses incurred while the clean-up is underway. To apply,

$25,000 Rural Landholder Grant
If you do not meet the eligibility requirements for the $75,000 Flood Recovery Grant, but operate a smallerscale
Primary Production Enterprise, you may be eligible for a Rural Landholder Grant.
Eligible directly affected rural landholders that operate smaller-scale primary production enterprises of at
least 10 hectares in size and that earn at least $20,000 from the primary production business may apply for
up to $25,000 to help with costs of clean-up and recovery. To apply, visit ruralfinance.com.au or call

Flood Support – NSW

Storm and Flood Grant up to $50 000

With the Grants it is $10 000 upfront with the residual received through submitted invoices for the residual $40 000 including how the initial $10 000 has been used.

Applicants must provide a complete application form and:

  • Local Land Services rates notice; and
  • Lease agreement if you are the lessee of the impacted property you are applying for; and
  • latest farm business tax returns and financial statements plus Personal Tax Return of all members of the business; and
  • you may include other evidence such as quotes, estimates, photos or tax invoices.

If you have previously submitted tax returns to the NSW RAA for the financial year 2019/2020 or more recently, you will not need to provide further information. If we do not have your previous financial information, we will seek your permission to contact your accountant directly if this is easiest for you.

Primary producers:
Concessional loans up to $130,000
Transport subsidy up to $15,000
Small business:
Concessional loans up to $130,000
Not-for-profit/community organisations:
Concessional loans up to $25,000
Donated fodder transport subsidy
